OK coach, what does it take for a budding entrepreneur to be successful in building their new venture?

Great question, I’m glad you asked.

In today’s economy more and more people are looking to start their own business. The job market is atrocious, corporations aren’t hiring and savvy people are looking to take control of their futures.

To be successful, they cannot be distracted.  There is no room for A.D.D. (attention deficit disorder).

These men and women must have GDD; Guts, Discipline and Determination.

  • Guts = The entrepreneurial spirit to start a business when everyone around them is saying STOP.
  • Discipline = Being willing to follow a proven plan without being distracted.
  • Determination = Doing whatever it takes to succeed all the time. This is a 5 year process.

Like a poker player in Texas Hold em, they have to be “All In.”  Their focus has to be on developing their business all the time.  They are constantly working on their business not just in their business. This will take sacrifice, energy and persistent effort.  No matter how big or small the venture, the principles are the same.

So, do you have GDD?
